MVReform is a nonprofit organization recognized under Section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to MVReform are used to support its social welfare mission, including public education, advocacy, and organizing activities.
Every dollar goes directly toward getting our petitions on the ballot — covering legal and filing costs, petition printing and circulation, and outreach costs needed to educate Mount Vernon residents and make sure their voices are heard.
Contributions are not tax-deductible. Unlike gifts to 501(c)(3) charities, donations to 501(c)(4) organizations are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
